Electrical ENGINEER - Full Time - IN OFFICE
ads ENGINEERS is seeking an Electrical Engineer with strong project management skills to support ads ENGINEERS Electrical Design team. In this role, you will be responsible for the systems design and specifications for many exciting projects, including but not limited to; Luxury High-Rise Residential Condos, Hotels, Retail Chains, Museums and Institutional Projects. This is an in-office, full-time position. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a proven track record in team management and a strong background in all aspects of Electrical Engineering. This person shall be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and be a self-starter that can excel with little direction.
Qualifications:
Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience in Electrical Service & Power Distribution, Fire Alarm & Low Voltage Systems.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Licensed PE
LEED Certification
Knowledge of Building & Energy Codes, NEC, NFPA Requirements.
Strong trouble shooting, problem-solving skills and ability to provide solutions to complex projects under pressure.

Responsibilities:
Design plumbing and fire protection systems including calculations of water, gas, sanitary/sewer and storm loads for submission to DEP & Utility Companies
Develop project specifications.
Ability to perform site evaluations.
Attend meetings with clients and project team.
Develop contract drawings from Schematics through Construction Documents
Prepare filing drawings
Construction Administration including review of submittals, shop drawings, RFI's, & change orders
Sustainability ENGINEER - Full Time - IN OFFICE
Minimum of 3 years’ experience
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
General understanding of renewable energy systems, onsite power generation systems, HVAC systems, building management systems, light equipment and other energy using systems and system interactions
Working knowledge of REVIT, AutoCAD LT and AutoCAD MEP skills
Experience with energy modeling techniques and working knowledge of energy modeling software eQuest and Trane Trace
Self-starting nature with the ability to see tasks through completion while meeting project budgets and deadlines
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures and instructions
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to stay focused and organized
Responsibilities:
Must be able to travel to job sites to conduct site visits pertaining to performing energy and retro-commissioning
Perform field surveys and measurements, as required, for the preparation of MEP design drawings
Perform load calculations, equipment selection and sizing for design of HVAC equipment and systems
Perform engineering analysis/energy savings calculations utilizing Microsoft Excel and Trane Trace energy modeling software to produce tangible deliverables
Analyze utility bills to identify building energy consumption and potential opportunities for reduction
Perform feasibility, energy savings, and cost-benefit financial analyses for potential ECMs
Prepare detailed design drawings in Auto CAD MEP, equipment schedules and plans and specs
Coordinate mechanical design drawings with other trades such as plumbing, electrical, fire protection as well as the structural, architectural, civil and any other building trades
Develop energy efficiency reports for ASHRAE Level I, II and III energy audits LEED and Energy Code Compliance
Work with vendors and contractors to obtain pricing on potential ECMs
