New York, NY

The $35 million dollar 125,000 sq. ft. renovation to the theater Includes a new mezzanine balcony that projects over the lobby, an event lounge with a capacity of 150 people, new box office, auxiliary offices, additional bathrooms, full commercial kitchen, interior and exterior art lighting, and a new gradual staircase leading up to the entrance with a glass canopy.

The theater also includes the first major MEP infrastructure upgrade since its construction. New MEP services included new air conditioning units, a new 300 ton central chiller plant, new building automation system, new fire alarm system, new sprinklers throughout the building and a full electrical upgrade.

The HVAC systems include state of the art rooftop units and air handling units that incorporate high energy efficiency features such as heat recovery wheels, vfd’s and digital scroll compressors. And because of the very close proximity of these HVAC units to the theaters and neighboring residential buildings, additional sound attenuation features have been incorporated in all units.
