The new facilities will include five performance halls, exhibition space, research and education facilities, a media lab and a children’s museum. The project is designed so the roofs of the most of the buildings are at or near grade allowing them to be covered by a multi-acre park. The creation of the Asian Culture Center will strengthen the cultural capabilities of the city serving as a regional focus for the pro.eduction and enjoyment of Asian culture. The performance spaces include a 2,100-seat multipurpose of performance hall, a 500-seat theater and two black box theaters of 200 and 170 seats.
