The Plainsboro Public Library is a new three-story 34,000 sq. ft. Library in Plainsboro, New Jersey. The Library was designed entirely wireless and with an abundance of power outlets for visitor’s computers. The 1st floor consists of a café, computers, and community rooms. The 2nd floor, also known as the “quiet floor”, has a wrap around balcony overlooking the main floor and private rooms for research and study. The 3rd floor, designed entirely for children, features bright lights, two outdoor balconies, activity and technology rooms and a “reading pit”.
Although not a LEED certified project , all general LEED guidelines were followed in the design.
