New York, NY

This project is for the renovation of the 123-year old Gramercy Park Hotel. The main building remains a hotel and the annex was converted to a co-op apartment building. ads ENGINEERS provided HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection Systems design. All systems serving first floor were gutted and 2nd floor knocked out to give the Lobby a higher ceiling. The renovation changed the 506-room hotel into a 185-room hotel. More than half of the rooms are now configured as suites, with French Doors separating the living and sleeping rooms and another set separating the sleeping rooms and the bathrooms. The hotel overlooks New York’s only private park, Gramercy Park.

The hotel offers a complete health club with treatment rooms, restaurant, meeting space for business or social gatherings. The 18th floor terrace /private club has a retractable roof and full climate control. The lobby bar consists of a chessboard floor and 10-foot high carved stone fireplaces. There are 23 co-op residences that will also enjoy the luxury services provided by the hotel.
