A new middle school features a green roof, a “neighborhood” concept, and art and science classrooms. The mechanical systems include heat recovery and a building automation system. The Fieldston School has achieved LEED-NC v2.1 Silver rating. In addition, the project included a new athletic facility housing, a competition swimming pool, a double gym that allows for two simultaneous full-court basketball games, locker rooms and showers, offices, a fitness center and training rooms, plus two physical education classrooms.
