The project, funded by the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation, includes the renovation of the 3.75-acre Bosque located to the east of Castle Clinton in Battery Park. The project features new lighting, a refreshment kiosk, crushed-stone pathways with gardens, to be planted with some 70,000 bulbs and 33,000 perennials. A stone spiral fountain with 35 in-ground illuminated jets and a carousel designed with a sea creature motif will serve to welcome patrons to the park.
