 NYSERDA FlexTech Program

NYSERDA’s FlexTech goal is to increase productivity and economic competiveness of participating existing facilities by identifying and encouraging the implementation of cost-effective energy efficiency, carbon reduction measures, peak-load curtailment, and combined heat & power and renewable generation projects through cost-shared studies.

ads ENGINEERS has been performing energy audits and energy studies of existing buildings since the firm’s inception in 1979. As a practicing design engineering firm, ads ENGINEERS proposes system modifications and upgrades that are practical and take into consideration the difficulties of working in an existing and occupied building. The firm understands the USGBC LEED requirements for existing buildings and can provide documentation to help achieve a LEED EB rating.

ads ENGINEERS can help you with the NYSERDA FlexTech application process and help you navigate the program. If you are interested in submitting an application contact a Partner or our Director of Sustainable Services, Brian Burke, to discuss the process.

NYSERDA New Construction Program

NYSERDA’s New Construction Program (NCP) assists eligible building owners and lease holders in improving the energy efficiency of either new or renovated buildings. Cost-share funding is available through this program to conduct technical assessments of energy efficiency opportunities in the building’s design. Incentives are also available to offset a portion of the incremental costs to purchase and install electric energy-efficient equipment.

ads ENGINEERS has worked for NYSERDA’s New Construction program as a technical assistance provider since 2004 and understands the high quality of the work that is required. The firm has in-depth experience modeling a wide variety of building types. Please refer to the Sustainable Services section for more information.

If you contact a Partner or our Director of Sustainable Services, Brian Burke, to discuss your project we can provide you with a better understanding of  the program and the NYSERDA process.
