Job Description:

ads ENGINEERS is currently looking for full-time Electrical Engineers with a minimum of five (5) years experience and who will be responsible for the systems design for many exciting projects, including high rise residential, hotels, commercial, retail, museums, and institutional projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledge of Building & Energy Codes, NEC Requirements
  • E.I.T. (Strongly Desired), LEED Certification a Plus
  • Current PE registration as an Electrical Engineer
  • Work History; Projects such as Hotel, Education, Commercial Building
  • REVIT Knowledge a Plus

Responsibilities:

  • Designing Electrical Systems from Inception to Complete Construction Documents
  • Complete All Phases of Design from Schematics through Construction Administration

  • Knowledge of NYC, NY State and NFPA International Building Codes and NYC-DEP.
  • Strong Computer and AutoCAD Skills and knowledge of REVIT Models a Plus

  • Strong knowledge of New York City, New York State, International Building Codes, NFPA & NYC-DEP
  • License PE and LEED Certification a plus
  • Excellent Communication and Technical Writing Skills
  • Strong Computer & AutoCad Skills, as well as knowledge of REVIT Models a Plus.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Designing Plumbing & Fire Protection Systems from inception to complete Construction Documents
  • Calculation of sanitary/sewer, gas, water and storm loads for utility application and coordination
  • Attend client meetings to develop project Scope
  • Survey of existing building conditions
  • Prepare Reports
  • Complete all Phases of Design from Schematic through Construction Administration
  • Preparation of Drawings
  • Develop project specifications
  • Knowledge of NYC Filing Requirements & Procedures
  • Coordination between Architectural & Engineering disciplines
  • Participate in Inter-Departmental Project Management Meetings to allocate firm resources
  • Construction Administration including review of submittals, shop drawings, RFI’s, & change orders
  • Assist in Project Management
  • Ability and willingness to mentor junior plumbing engineers and designers
