After a career spanning over 40 years Dominick DePinto is retiring from ads ENGINEERS at the end 2016. He, along with Michael Ambrosino, founded the firm in 1979 and was joined two years later by Ken Schmieder. Dominick specialized in the design of HVAC systems for a wide variety of building types including museums, theaters, educational, institutional, hotels, and high end residential buildings.

Dominick was also heavily involved in the development of the sustainable services group at the firm that specializes in computer energy modeling, LEED analysis, NYSERDA technical assistance, and commissioning. In 2014, he was awarded the Distinguished Service Award from the New York Chapter of ASHRAE for a lifetime of achievement in the field of Heating, Air Conditioning, and Ventilation. In his retirement he plans on teachings, spending time with his grandchildren, and traveling with his wife.
